1. Printer Compatibility
-
Use only with DTF printers equipped with suitable printheads (commonly Epson-based Micro Piezo printheads).
-
Ensure your printer firmware and RIP software are configured for DTF printing.
2. Shake Well Before Use
-
Gently shake DTF ink bottles for 30β60 seconds before filling the ink tanks.
-
Regular shaking ensures even pigment distribution, especially for white ink.
3. Printer Preparation
-
Clean printheads, capping stations, and dampers if switching from another ink brand.
-
Perform nozzle checks and head cleanings before starting.
4. Printing Process
-
Print your design directly onto specialized DTF film.
-
Use mirror image printing mode if needed.
-
Maintain optimal temperature and humidity (recommended: 68β77Β°F, 40β60% RH) for best results.
5. Applying Adhesive Powder
-
While ink is still wet, sprinkle DTF hot-melt adhesive powder evenly across the printed design.
-
Shake off excess powder carefully.
6. Curing
-
Cure the powdered film using a heat press, curing oven, or heat gun:
-
Recommended curing temperature: 250β300Β°F (120β150Β°C)
-
Curing time: 2β3 minutes until adhesive melts evenly and becomes matte.
-
7. Heat Transfer to Garment
-
Pre-press your fabric for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
-
Place the cured DTF film on the garment (design facing down).
-
Press at 300β320Β°F (150β160Β°C) for 10β15 seconds with medium pressure.
8. Peel
-
Allow the transfer to cool down (cold peel recommended unless otherwise stated).
-
Gently peel off the film.
9. Post-Press (Optional for Durability)
-
For better wash resistance, press the garment again for 5β10 seconds with a protective sheet (parchment paper or Teflon).
Important Tips:
-
Regularly agitate white ink inside the printer system to avoid pigment settling.
-
Maintain clean nozzles for sharp prints.
-
Store ink in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
